Fantastic blog! Do you have any helpful hints for aspiring writers? I’m planning to start my own website soon but I’m a little lost on everything. Would you propose starting with a free platform like WordPress or go for a paid option? There are so many choices out there that I’m totally overwhelmed .. Any ideas? Cheers!

Regarding websites – I took a really long time to study the different options and when it came down to it, I decided I was not prepared to pay very much. I felt wordpress gave me the most bang for my buck. I payed a bit and got the domain name and a few perks. As soon as it takes off and becomes hugely popular (a girl can dream), I will pay a bit more to get more perks. But for now – This site has been able to do everything I’ve needed so I am very happy with it.
Whatever you do, make sure you understand the domain rights. If you are any good with such things, you might want to go strait to godaddy and get your own domain, but I didn’t know what to do with it if i got one, so this made more sense for me.
And as for helpful hints? I know its a bit cliché, but number 1 is: Write.
If you share your work, a close second is to learn to take criticism. Learn to filter what are relevant critiques and what is irrelevant, and then make use of it without your ego getting in your way. This is tough, and why I took so long to start sharing with the world.
