Legal Lucidity: New Series

I am adding a new series to LucidityLamb.com, called Legal Lucidity. I am building an informational page now, and will start adding blog posts on a regular basis. This site has always been about poetry, art, and the odd piece of information. Beauty, hope, and information continue to be my focus.

I am going to start sharing amateur legal concepts in bite-sized pieces. I have a loved one in prison for a crime he did not commit. This series is designed to help people like us who wish we had known things sooner.

I am not a lawyer. That is important. I’ve not gone to school for this. I just happened to be one of the many Floridians who have found themselves involved in legal matters they didn’t ask for. Many laws are different between states. But a lot of this information will be relevant for anyone in the United States. I leave it to you to continue the research based on the concepts I present. I’ll do my best to explain things, but you’ll want to seek out a more reliable source before you risk a life on this information.

How to follow this series:

Every post in this series will carry the tag, Legal-Lucidity. When there is a longer page to go with it, I will link it. But the point is to pave a little path, not to drop a textbook on anyone’s kitchen table. And if you are only wanting to see the poetry posts, you can select to only see posts with the “Poetry” tag. You can skip these “Legal-Lucidity” posts entirely.

You do not have to take the whole site. A few simple options:

What these posts will be:

Short. Named. Useful if you need them, and skippable if you do not. Things like what a Franks problem is, what a 3.850 is for, what “successive” means, and why you should do your own research, no matter who is giving you advice.

I will do my best to give you the questions you didn’t know you should be asking. These posts will be educational and helpful, I hope, but they are not legal advice because, I’ll say it again, I am not a lawyer.

We learned this the long way. If it helps one family find a path to justice earlier than we did, that is enough reason for me.
